Why are Frosty Tonics worth so much in Pre-Sear?
An alliance-mate gave me two Frosty Tonics in pre-sear recently. Later on I saw people WTS for 3k and WTB for 2k.
Why in the world are they worth so much? I can sorta understand post-sear prices being high with so much money floating around, but I have trouble understanding why they'd be worth more that a couple hundred gold in Pre. Anything I'm missing? |

The same reason why anything is worth more in Pre; it's harder to get.

outside of pre-searing there is mass farming
walk in raptor cave, kill everything, get drops that's not how it works in pre searing you have the skills you got from your skill quests and that's it no fancy farming build in pre but outside pre there is a mass load of players farming and they're much easier to get |

there worth 3 party animal points, aka if some1 wanted to get life of the party it would be faster by using them, also there the only "new" tonic you can get in pre, ( what i mean by new is boreal / auto / phantasmal. )

Because 10 party points is the same as 10 snowman summoners, which are worth between 130-200g each. So thats 1.3k-2k. Now add the fact that they are rarer in pre and you have a higher price.
Its simple economics: Demand is high, therefore price is high. People are willing to pay that much because they arent common. |

What's with people saying it gives 10 party points and one person saying 3 points? It gives 2 party points per use just like all other non-everlasting tonics.

Because there are NO other tonics avialable in Presearing.
You can't get the z-chest ones, the holiday ones, or the rollerbettle ones. It is valuable because it is exclusive. |

I do believe this was the first introduction of such a thing to Pre-Searing.
